Couples Counseling using the Gottman Method consists of the following:

    Learn how to strengthen fondness and admiration, express appreciation, and respect each other.

    Learn how to use bids for connection to turn towards each other.
  4. THE POSITIVE APPROACH:
    Develop a positive approach to problem-solving.

    Learn how to “manage” conflict rather than “resolve” conflict, because relationship conflict is natural and has functional positive aspects.
